Guiness cake, folk music and tea cups
09:43The week started with an amazing little event put on by the lovely owners of the wonderful Storm In A Teacup vintage boutique. They made yummy Guinness cake and served drinks in beautiful teacups, while they had amazing musicians at guests. I am so in love with the interior of the shop.
I joined with my friend to hear the talented and inspiring Sam Lee, sing his folk songs, and telling stories. It was a nice little getaway from the usual fashion week events.
The coziness that this time of year brings with it is so beautiful.
Please excuse the blurriness and quality of these photos, I will try and perfect my photography skills
in low light.
This week has been busy, filled with preparations and makeup for exciting photo shoots and more prep for the move.
We took photos of our room, which will be missed.
We finished clearing out and made plenty of space for all new to come.
Thanks to Skype, I spoke to Dave every day and he had a very great time on his business trip to Sydney. He came back today with so many good news, and great job opportunities.
Fingers crossed. We are so excited. A few weeks of Fall and we will be back into Spring.
A little wardrobe challenge. It's getting cold over here.
Candles & tea time, snuggle-blanket-on-the-couch-time, colourful tights time, noodle soup time,
pumpkin time, socks in bed time, pretty leaves time, scarf time...
What do you like about Autumn?

how is the Guiness cake? I can't imagine! Seems like you had a quite lovely time at the shop, it looks just like you mentioned, so cozy and warm.
ReplyDeleteI am sure you will miss your room, that's always so bittersweet about moving..

It was my first time trying Guinness cake! It tastes great, sweet but with a bit of bitterness to it, very nice. Similar flavor to dark chocolate or espresso with sugar. YUM!
DeleteYour room looks really pretty and comfy. I actually really like your photos - dreamy!
ReplyDeleteThe vintage shop looks amazing, and I love your bedroom it looks so inviting. Good luck with your up coming changes.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I've never heard of any of the musicians you mentioned in you comment. I'm definitely goi g to check them out.

ReplyDeleteand autumn, ahhh i LOVE IT!! i love the weather slowly cooling down, big bulky sweaters, tights, boots, scarves...its my favorite season..stylistically..fashionably? im not sure how to say that hahah but i love fall! and if i lived in some place other than FL where we really have no fall (boo) then i'm sure i'd love watching the leaves change color!! oh and pumkin spice lates are the best. :)
That shop looks fun, and your bedroom looks so calm and serene - no wonder you will miss it. I love autumn...the seasonal foods, all the baking and preserving and pickling, bonfire night, sweaters and scarves, conkers, crisp sunny days, leaf nature displays. The best time of year. Glad to hear plans for the big move are going well.
ReplyDeleteany event with cake and drinks served in teacups sounds great to me! also your bedroom is so spacious and light and airy, it looks lovely!
