markets, stuff & dreaming of bikes
23:49Summer hit London last minute. While everyone is getting in Autumn mood, the sun made a surprise visit. Dave has been strolling around markets, while I have been working the whole weekend.
I caught the sun for an hour at lunch break at least. And while I had some amazing creative makeup jobs this week, he bought plenty of fresh fruit and was preparing a picnic in the park, for me after work. What would I do without this man?
Dave took all these colourful photos as well, around our neighborhood.
Isn't that yellow bike just perfection? We are dreaming about bike rides in Sydney over here,
already checking out routes and gear that we are planning to get.
We haven't been riding bikes in London but we really want to start it down in Sydney.
I am so excited. Do you ride a bike?

ReplyDeleteglad to hear sun visited hehe....how sweet is your Dave!?
ReplyDeletei don't ride a bike, but I'd love too!
a nice surprise this belated summer, istn't it. right now I am sitting in the garden of a friend, having an early coffee and loving it. have a great and sunny week!
ReplyDeleteWasn't the sun gorgeous? I adore that yellow bike. My husband bought a bike last week and now he is pestering me to buy one. I am very taken with Pashleys and Bobbins - I just need to decide how much I will actually use it, given that it is quite hilly where we are in Yorkshire! x
ReplyDeletemy husband gave me a bike for my birthday this year and i can't stop riding it!! it's so much fun, plus it helps that it's a perfect, cheery blue color. (i just posted pictures of our bikes today)

yay! that's cool.
DeleteThe yellow bike is adorable. My husband just got a mountian bike, so we've been putting it to good use. I just ride with him around our neighborhood, he rides with his friends on the mountians. I'm not sure I could make it up a mountian on a bike ... lol!
ReplyDeletei have a bike, but i never really get to ride it anymore. my neighborhood is not suited for bike riding. i love that yellow bike though - it makes me want to take mine out. and this market looks amazing -i love all of the photos

Looks like you guys had a great weekend. I want a bike really badly as well. That yellow one is quite a dream :)
ReplyDeleteWow, it really does look like a late summer has hit. I don't ride a bike - too many horror stories about accidents - but a lot of people in town do
ReplyDeleteI know it's scary. I guess we will ride it more locally.
DeleteOh my gosh, your photographs are beautiful! I just spent so much time reading through your blog. I definitely wrote down a lot of ideas for when I move to London for a semester. Are you vacationing there, or do you call it home? :)
ReplyDeleteWe called it home for the time being. But now it's time to say goodbye.
DeleteYou will love it, there is so much to do and see.

these markets look like so much fun! ever since moving to St. Augustine, I have been waiting for some farmer's markets to pop up, I'll have to go soon. glad you enjoyed an impromptu last weekend of summer--what a sweetheart he is for planning a picnic! you're a lucky gal. i have a bike here in Florida, and i love it! it's an old-fashioned beach cruiser and it's so much fun :)

I wish I could ride a bike around London, but I live too far from central and the roads scare me there! These photos capture the market so well, love all the vivid colour!
ReplyDeleteCarmen Ri.
I am too scared here in London too. My work is far from my house. I hope to ride my future bike more locally in Sydney and more in my free time, rather then commuting.
Deletethose markets look like so much fun, especially on a nice warm late summer day, it's a shame you had to work all weekend!
ReplyDeleteSeems like such a lovely day! I wish we had markets like those here in Manila!
ReplyDeleteLove the market pics! So neat . . .
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet husband you have!
ReplyDeleteDo you live in London or Sydney?
Ronnie xo
p.s. Thanks for stopping by my blog. :)
We are living in London, but are moving to Sydney very soon.
DeleteJust read your About page - excited to hear you're moving to Sydney! You'll love it here.

i've committed myself to a 35km bike ride for charity in november and my bike has been sitting in the same spot since last december...eek!
ReplyDeletegorgeous photos!
wow, good luck!
DeleteWe ride bikes! But just locally for me. There are a few bike paths around the city for you to explore when you get here. But Melbourne is by far the friendlier bike city in this country. Kellie xx
ReplyDeleteYeah I think we will ride more locally, rather then commuting on bikes.
DeleteWe will see how it goes. Thanks for your comment. xx
Love these pics! :D And yes, I ride a bike.. or at least, I will ride it as soon as I manage to fix the one I bought at a public auction here in Sweden. We just moved from Italy, and we can't wait to explore this place by bike! :)
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,
Mijbil
Lovely post.
ReplyDeleteAnd your husband took such pretty photos!
p.s.: Great blog!! Love it.
I am in love with all of these pics? Can I hang out with you?... If I loved in the same city, I would make you hang out with me .. this looks so fun! I love the market shots!
ReplyDeletexo everything-pretty.com
Haha ; )
DeleteIf you ever come to visit our city, we can hang out!
how pretty everything is, when I look at these I miss London so much!
ReplyDeleteAnd dearest Liv, I firmly believe UK government should hire both you and Dave as cultural attaches :)
p.s. the sweet doll on first photo just made my day.
That would be great, maybe we can get a Sir and Lady title ;)
DeleteI love a good flea market...fall is the perfect time for us weather-wise.
ReplyDeleteoh i would give anything to be at a market like that one, how lovely lovely lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't ride my back, i'm unable because of my pelvic instability, but maybe one day:)
xo
I love the yellow bike. When I was younger one of the things I always wanted was yellow hunter wellington boots, a yellow raincoat with striped lining and a yellow bike. :) Great photos too. :D
ReplyDeleteThese made me smile. Flea markets are my favorite :) So much to see!
ReplyDeletelovely! flea markets are always fun.

Looks like a fun time in London. There's nothing better than a flea market. and i do ride a bike! i saved up last summer for a Bianchi bike, I love it!
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are beautiful, as always. they make me feel a sense of nostalgia for summer and lazy days. My husband and I have a bike similar to that yellow one, only it's a tandem. We love riding it, but I haven't been able to this year at all because I'm pregnant, it makes me excited to ride it next year though!
ReplyDeleteFabulous pictures, the light in them is amazing. It definitely still looks like Summer of there. How lovely it will be if you get a late Summer and then simply skip over to Sydney without having to pull out a coat at all! x
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment! You are a star!
